About the Moth

Welcome to Moth Eats Words! My name is Hayden, and I'm the moth that eats words.

In a lot of ways, I'm your average black zillenial transmasculine dyke on the internet. I went to college for an English degree. I've spent way too much time on Tumblr and never completely outgrew my emo phase. I like to read poetry and sci-fi books, and I like playing video games with my friends. I’ve also been meaning to start an art-focused blog for a while. I’ve been a writer since I was twelve, and I honestly live and breathe through the things I create.

I'm going to do my best to post regularly, even if it's a bit slow at first. I want this to be a place where I can write about my life – my evolution as a writer, projects I’m working on, things I’m reading, music I listen to, movies and shows I watch – and discuss my gender journey without looking over my shoulder or trying to police myself.

I like to talk, and I have a lot to talk about.
